・Located by the Yangtze River at Dongshuimen, Yuzhong District, Chongqing, Huguang Guild Hall of Chongqing is a general term for the ancient architectural complex built in the early Qing Dynasty and the 仿古新建筑群 (仿古 new architectural complex). It is the largest ancient guild hall complex in the urban central area known nationwide.
· The guild hall complex was first built during the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty, with continuous expansions, new constructions, and renovations during the Qianlong, Daoguang, and Guangxu periods. The current guild hall complex was rebuilt during the Daoguang and Guangxu periods of the Qing Dynasty.
・The Sichuan Immigration Museum of Chongqing Huguang is housed in the 仿古新建建筑 (仿古 new buildings), vividly reproducing a crucial immigration wave in human history — the “Huguang Fills Sichuan” immigration movement.
· When visiting the guild hall in the afternoon, you can also choose to drink tea and listen to operas to feel the historical atmosphere.
