Dazu Rock Carvings are a general term for a group of rock carvings, including five sites: Baodingshan, Beishan, Nanshan, Shizhuanshan, and Shimenshan. Generally, when people mention Dazu Rock Carvings, they mostly refer to the Baodingshan Rock Carvings.
The Dazu Rock Carvings are Buddhist-themed stone carvings, extremely exquisite and magnificent. Each carving has its own story, and they are painted in color, appearing very vivid and almost lifelike.
Not to mention the expressions of the Buddha statues in the grottoes, even the tassels on their clothes give the impression that a single gust of wind could make them flutter.
